In November 2017, 1st Albion Park Scouts braved unseasonable cold weather to embark on adventure of a lifetime to Australia’s highest peak, Mt Kosciusko. 21 Scouts, 5 Leaders and 2 Adult Helpers packed food, gear and lots of enthusiasm for their weekend road trip down south, where they enjoyed a good old-fashioned snow ball fight, spotted frogs and fish in surrounding ponds, and powered their way through the snow to hike up to the Summit of Mt Kosciusko.
After a well-deserved night’s sleep, the Troop headed off to the Yarrangobilly Caves, where they were mesmerised by the rock formation’s natural archways, spotted kangaroos and joeys and enjoyed a short swim in the thermal pools.
